Role Of Army In Country , Pak-Army

Role 

The army is a very important institution that no country can exist  without. Major tasks of army is to defend  country and its citizens from any external aggression .



The army assists the police.The army helps the police to bring any security issue under control. Sometimes police was unable to control  problem , in that case army steps in and provide assistance in different ways.

The army can provide foreign exchange to a country. . Not too many people are aware of this, but the army of a country can enable the country to generate some revenue when they go on peacekeeping operations in other places across the world.

The army provides  services during natural disasters and other types of disasters such as floods, earthquakes, terrorist attacks, etc.

Pak army

Pak army is the land-based service branch of the Pakistan Armed Forces.According to the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) the Pakistan Army has an active force of 642,000 personnel as of 2015.

Till now , Involved in 4 wars India  and several Border skirmishes with Afghanistan .Major operations undertaken by army include operatoin Zarb-E-Azab ,  Operation Toar-e-Tander  (Black Thunderstorm) and Operation Rah-e-Nijat (Path to Salvation) .

The Army has  also  been  an  active participant In  United Nations  peacekeeping   missions, with 7533 troops  serving in peacekeeping mission which is one of the biggest number among rest of participants.



The Special Services Group (SSG) is an independent commando corps of the Pakistan Army known as Black Storks.Considered one of the best because of their bravery.Ranked at  No. 6 in world  .

Once  Russion  President talked about Pakistani army by saying that “he had Pakistan’s army and Russian weapons he could conquer all the world because they are very brave .Trained for  Special opertions .

  Pakistan military has been ranked as the 11th strongest military in the world. It has  more weaponry than Germany, Australia, and Canada.The equipment currently in use by the Pakistan Army is divided into the following main sections: small arms, armour,  aircraft and air defence systems.
The Pakistan Army has a sports program. An example of the program's success is its basketball program.Which regularly provides Pakistan national basketball team with key players .

The Nishan-e-Haider (Sign of the Lion) is the highest military award given by Pakistan. Until now , 10 army officers got this award.

Apart from conducting military operations, exercises, and military ethics, the Pakistan Army maintains its own science and technology corps and organizations.
