When we heard about dinar, it takes our mind at only one thing. GULF! Well, what is Gulf? Well, gulf is an area where Arabic countries lies. Countries like, Kuwait, Jordan, U.A.E, Saudi Arabia, Oman etc.
Well, dinar is a currency of Kuwait, and for every Arabic place they have different dinar. Like Kuwaiti dinar, Omani Dinar etc. Just Pak Rupees and Ind Rupees. Well, according to the forex, Kuwaiti dinar is the most expensive currency, as 1 dinar is equals to 300+ rs for Pakistan. Woah! It is high, damn high! Well, so this currency Is quite good and many Asians are there to earn Dinars. But before we talk about Dinar,
I would like to tell you about its shirt history that how it was introduced and what real its value is. First of dinar currency owners are Iraq, Bahrain, Serbian, Algerian and Yugoslav. Dinar is a main currency of 9 mostly Islamic countries, and it is used in several more countries. It is basically a Islamic term which is used in late A.D. Our prophets also used this currency. It is so old that people in 500 AD also used this currency. In Islam, and the income of Prophets at that was also payed in dinars. So it is an historical term that is really very valuable. In 13th century as well, it is in being use by Serbian, and their coins were quite historic and antique. In Yemen, Sudan, etc they were previously used this currency Dinar. In 1 century, this was also introduced to India by Kushan Emipre and that was a gold coin which was known as DINARA. The gold dinar was an early Islamic coin corresponding to the Byzantine denarius auri. After Kushan Empire, it was adopted by the Gupta Empire and its successors up to the 6th century. The modern gold dinar is a modern bullion gold coin. So you can see the terms am using for this currency. And these words will clear your mind that how old this currency is and what value it had and has.
The 8th century English king Offa of Mercia minted copies of Abbasid dinars struck in 774 by Caliph Al-Mansur with “Offa Rex” centered on the reverse. The moneyer visibly had no understanding of Arabic as the Arabic text contains many errors. Such coins may have been produced for trade with Islamic Spain. Well if we talk about Kuwati Dinar, which is my favorite then, the dinar was introduced in 1960 to replace the Gulf rupee ( equal to Indian rupee ). It was initially equivalent to one pound sterling. As the rupee was fixed at 1 shilling 6 pence, this resulted in a conversion rate of 13 1⁄3 rupees to the dinar. When Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990, the Iraqi dinar replaced the Kuwaiti dinar as the currency and large quantities of banknotes were stolen by the invading forces. After liberation, the Kuwaiti dinar was restored as the country’s currency and a new banknote series was introduced, allowing the previous notes, including those stolen, to be demonetized From 18 March 1975 to 4 January 2003, the dinar was pegged to a weighted currency basket.. So there are many dinar like Irani dinars, etc. Do search about it and it is a good thing that Arabians make their currency name, DINAR.
